Great Nebraska Tractor Ride

We started the first Great Nebraska Tractor Ride in 2005 with inquires from interested KTIC listeners asking us to participate in a Tractor Ride. Thus the Great Nebraska Tractor Ride was born. With much excitement and a little nervousness about getting everyone where they needed to be, we started planning for our first Tractor Ride. We traveled through the beautiful countryside of Nebraska starting in Decatur, then to Bancroft, Pender, Wayne, Norfolk, Stanton, Aloys, West Point, Oakland and Lyons. We learned alot from our first tractor ride and applied it to our second ride in 2006.

The second Great Nebraska Tractor Ride in 2006 drew many of our previous tractor drivers along with new drivers. They shared their past experiences and made new ones in 2006.
The second tractor ride was bitter sweet, we suffered a loss of one of our Broadcasters Ryan Guill who enjoyed the tractor ride from start to finish. We honored Ryan in 2006 with magnets on Farm Director Randy Koenen's tractor and the Tractor Captain's tractors in his memory. Also in helping out with his memory his parents have started a Ryan Guill Scholarship Fund that helps students who are going into the Broadcasting field.
Armed with the knowledge of the first tractor ride we traveled through beautiful country sides of Nebraska and Iowa. The 2006 tractor ride kicked off in West Point, then to Scribner, Herman, Blair, and then in Iowa, Modale, Mondamin, River Sioux, Blencoe and Onawa, and then back to Decatur, Walthill, and Lyons.

Our third Great Nebraska Tractor Ride in 2007 was great! We started in West Point bright and early and traveled to Snyder, North Bend, Schuyler, Octavia, Bellwood, overnight stay in Columbus, then Leigh, Clarkson, Howells, Dodge, and then back to West Point.
